WABI SABI
We went to Japan and made some sunglasses. Titanium. Hand-finished. Named for the desert and numbered to a hundred. There are three colors. These are them.
The CHARROS collection started with a few trips to southern Utah — slot canyons, red sand, juniper trees. The color palette is special.
Amber from the slot walls. Juniper from the scrub. Cognac from the rock at golden hour. We brought those colors to a workshop in Japan and asked them to make something we’d want to wear every day.
Made in Sabae, Japan — a small city in Fukui Prefecture that’s been producing the world’s finest eyewear for over a century. Titanium frames, glass lenses, hand-finished acetate. Each pair assembled and numbered by hand.
Wabi-sabi is the Japanese idea that beauty lives in the imperfect and the incomplete. We liked the philosophy. And the name a bit.
One hundred pairs per color. Yours is numbered.
